Full House Lottery is an Edmonton-based lottery that supports the University Hospital Foundation and Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation. Johnston Research has been supporting FHL with the development of their lottery campaign materials since 2016 by meeting with previous ticket buyers every year to better understand how to influence excitement for the lottery.
In December 2017, Johnston Research, in conjunction with Calder Bateman Communications, conducted two focus groups in Edmonton that investigated reactions to draft marketing and communications material for the 2018 Full House Lottery.
Research engaged respondents between the ages of 25 and 64 differing in gender, education, occupation, and marital status. The research gathered by Johnston Research guided Full House Lottery in implementing necessary changes to the Full House Lottery marketing and communications concept and materials.
Fun fact: The Owner and Senior Moderator at Johnston Research, Sandra Johnston, won a Harley Davidson Softail motorcycle the first time she ever bought a Full House Lottery ticket (long before they were a client).
