Sandra Johnston is a senior research moderator. She established Johnston Research in 2006. Prior to that, Sandra worked for two years with a national research firm.  Before her career as a marketing research practitioner, Sandra was a buyer of research. She had a rewarding career in the areas of corporate performance, program evaluation and customer service.

Sandra credits her success as a moderator to her genuine interest in peoples’ opinions, “I really am interested in why people think what they think. It helps me to connect with them and I think it encourages people to speak openly and honestly.”

Johnston Research is an active member of the Market Research Intelligence Agency (MRIA) and Sandra has served multiple terms on the Alberta Board.  Sandra is also the co-chair of the newly created Member Engagement Council of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. She also conducts guest lectures at the University of Alberta School of Business on qualitative research practices.
